On which floor should I place my whole house humidifier?

My bungalow has 2 floors, bedrooms and foremost living area are on top floor and basement, storage and den are on bottom prostrate. I was wondering on which floor I should place my whole house console humidifier? It is supposed to humidify up to 2300

As dewy air will be heavier than dry air, put on the top floor.
