Piano Humidifier: What All Piano Owners Need to Know

One of the most noteworthy factors influencing piano tuning resoluteness is humidity. A piano humidifier is therefore an fundamental investment for all piano owners.

As a ukase of thumb, your piano's humidity should be about 50 percent. More specifically, between 50 and 55 percent is visionary. A short more or a Lilliputian less is tolerable, with too barely being by far more dangerous than too much (assuming it isn't raining in your living room). Anything below 40 percent is judgement to hit the nervousness button, since to the nth degree dry air could source the severe soundboard to shot. (It goes without saying that you should never, ever set out your piano undeviatingly in front of a heater.)

By discriminate, on a rainy day humidity might go all the way to 70 percent, but this won't havoc your piano; it will only "retune" it.
