Refrigeration-related question. 12x8x8 foot walk in freezer, insulated with 8 inches on all sides of urethane,
having an R value of 6.7 per inch.
In my unusual, there is no longer ANY electricity, and the people pack the freezer 90 % full with calm hail to preserve food.
Thus it is no longer a walk in 'refrigerator', but a stalk
Using a whole boatload of approximations,
A = 2(12*8 + 8*8 + 8*12) = 16*32 = 512 ft^2
t = 8"
R = 8*6.7 = 53.6
The tension load is
Q = 512(75 - 32)/53.6 = 410.75 Btu/hr
12*8*8 = 768 ft³
so we're talking
