Can I use a blender instead of a food processor?

I scarcity to try a recipe to make and freeze tomato sauce because I have a bunch of fresh tomatoes to use up. It says I can renounce the peels on the tomatoes if I put them/pieces through the food processor and cook long. Sounds kind but I don't have


You will have to do smaller batches but I would still peel them first. Rightful put in boiling water for about 15 seconds & the peel with plane right off.
