dropped something metal down the drainholes of my dishwasher?

a metal handgrip, approx 12-16 gauge wire, fell down the bottom holes in my DW. Kenmore, ultrawash, silence model 665 approx 9 years old. Its curved about 3-4 inches large. We have undone everything we can but its now stuck on something black in the "bowl"
